Everything started at the end of the 70’s, when Grupo Bimbo purchased a snack factory in Queretaro. Barcel arises then, a company in which since the 9th. of February, 1978, we worked the way, inspired on quality and constant innovation.

Initially, the company was constituted by Ricolino, Productos Nuber and Barcel del Norte. However, in 1990 our quality extended to all the corners of the country, and the factories of Barcel del Centro, Queretaro Norte and State of Mexico were inaugurated.

In 1999, the factory in Mexicali, Baja California started operating, where snacks made out of corn are produced. The demand for our products increased, so in 2004 a new factory was built in Merida- Yucatan. In that same year a new corn tortillas and tostadas factory started operating In Hidalgo as well.
